Sacheon-si Holds Working TF Team Meeting on Establishment of Space Aviation Agency

Discussion on the Creation of an Aerospace Complex City

Sacheon City and Gyeongnam Province jointly held a working TF team meeting for the establishment of the Space Aviation Agency in Sacheon at the city hall's large conference room.

During the meeting held on the 11th, reports were given on major space aviation-related issues including the establishment of the Space Aviation Agency, the launch of the space aviation policy forum, and the formulation of Gyeongnam's space economy vision, followed by discussions on related issues such as the creation of a space aviation complex city.

Sacheon-si, Gyeongnam is holding a working TF team meeting for the establishment of the Space Aviation Agency.

Currently, Sacheon City, together with Gyeongnam Province, is promoting preparations for the candidate site for the Space Aviation Agency building, plans for the aerospace complex city, and the establishment of a space economy vision. At the city level, a feasibility study is also underway to create an administrative complex town centered on the Space Aviation Agency.

Jo Yeomun, Director of the Aerospace Industry Division of Gyeongnam Province and co-chairman, stated, “We will strive through various methods at the provincial level to ensure the early establishment of the Space Aviation Agency and the creation of a space aviation complex city.”

Park Youngsoo, Director of the Aviation Economy Bureau of Sacheon City and co-chairman, said, “Since the special law for the Space Aviation Agency has been submitted to the National Assembly's Science, ICT, Broadcasting and Communications Committee, the city will prepare policies and promote consensus to ensure the successful opening of the Space Aviation Agency without any setbacks.”
