Performance at Yongsan Children's Garden on the 13th
Featuring Dvo??k Symphony No. 8, Movement 4 and more
An orchestra performance will be held to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the Yongsan era and the opening of the Yongsan Children's Garden.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service announced on the 11th that the 'Dream Orchestra' performance will take place at the Yongsan Children's Garden on the 13th. The 'Dream Orchestra' is a project that provides orchestra ensemble education to children and youth in the local community, including vulnerable groups. Approximately 20,000 people have participated since 2010.
This year, members of the 'Dream Orchestra' from Osan and Tongyeong will take the stage to perform dreams, hope, and growth. The program includes Dvo??k's Symphony No. 8, 4th movement, Gli?re's Horn Concerto, 1st movement, medleys from the movies 'Avengers' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean,' and highlights medleys from Disney animated films.
The performance will also feature the 'Eunhasu Percussion Ensemble,' a group of musicians with developmental disabilities, horn player Lee Seok-jun, graduates of the 'Dream Orchestra,' and members of the Tongyeong City Boys and Girls Choir, performing pieces such as the Radetzky March, Csikos Post, and Libertango.
The audience will include special guests such as children from multicultural families, children from families of veterans, and participants of the 'Dream Orchestra.' Anyone can enjoy the performance by making a reservation to visit the Yongsan Children's Garden in advance.
A Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism official said, "Starting with this performance, we will continue the 'Dream Feast' project at various locations such as local fire stations, parks, schools, and hospitals."
