Daejeon City is promoting the 'Daesa Neighborhood Park Access Road Improvement Project.' It is the first road construction in 35 years.

According to the city on the 11th, Daesa Neighborhood Park operates as a citizen rest area and experience facility, including the Wood Culture Experience Center, Bowundae, Forest Performance Hall, Happiness Forest Healing Center, and Bomunsan Happiness Forest Trail Forest Road.
The improvement project is being promoted to renovate the access road connecting the park entrance to Songhaksa Temple, the Wood Culture Experience Center, and Bowundae.
The access road was constructed 35 years ago and is narrow with a width of 4 meters, making vehicle passing difficult, which has caused ongoing inconvenience for citizens visiting Bomunsan.
Accordingly, the city plans to expand the width of the 0.36 km section from the park entrance to in front of Songhaksa Temple from the current 4 meters to 7-8 meters, with a budget of 2 billion KRW.
In addition, the city will renovate the deteriorated pedestrian convenience facilities on the access road and replace 19 park lights with eco-friendly wooden poles and LED lighting.
The construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year. Once completed, vehicle passing will be smoother, and park accessibility will improve, resulting in a significant positive impact for citizens, the city anticipates.
Shin Yong-hyun, Director of the Environmental Greenery Bureau of the city, said, “The Daesa Neighborhood Park Access Road Improvement Project will make it more convenient to use Bomunsan and increase its potential as a landmark. We will minimize citizen inconvenience caused by the construction and strive to complete the project early.”
