The Korea Publishing Society, a publishing research organization, will hold a regular academic conference on the 12th at Hanbit Publishing Network in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, under the theme "Understanding the Social and Psychological Characteristics and Reading Behaviors of the MZ Generation."
The event will proceed with opening remarks by Kim Seonnam, president of the Korea Publishing Society (professor at Wonkwang University), and a keynote speech by Professor Lee Munhak (Incheon University), followed by thematic presentations.
The first thematic presentation will be delivered by Professor Go Unki (Hanyang University) on "Reading Behaviors of the MZ Generation." This will be followed by discussions involving Kim Mijeong, president of the Book Curator Association; Professor Moon Jihye (Incheon University); Professor Yoon Semin (Gyeongin Women's University); and Professor Lee Dongsung (Daegu Science University).
The second thematic presentation will feature Professor Kang Jinsuk (Chung-Ang University) presenting on "Lifestyle of the MZ Generation and Reader Segmentation Strategies," followed by discussions with Kim Eungyeong, CEO of Eun Design; Professor Kim Jaeho (Cheongun University); Professor Shin Jongrak (Jeju University); and Researcher Joo Seonmi (Korea Publishing Research Institute).
The third thematic presentation will be given by Professor Lee Jangseok (Gachon University) on "Social Psychological Characteristics of the MZ Generation and Publishing Marketing Strategies." The discussion panel will include Kim Juwon, CEO of Gungpyeonchaek; Park Chanik, CEO of Pakijeong Publishing; Professor Lee Seunghwan (Hallym University); and Professor Im Jinyeong (Seokyeong University).
Kim Seonnam, president of the Korea Publishing Society, stated, "The purpose and aim of this academic conference is to properly understand the social and psychological characteristics of the MZ generation, who have emerged as key consumers in our society, and their corresponding reading behaviors, in order to provide practical assistance to our publishing industry, especially in publishing marketing." He added, "The passionate presentations and discussions by top experts in the field are expected to bring new vitality to our publishing industry, which is currently facing challenges."
