Continuous Increase Trend in Sales
Galleria Department Store announced on the 19th that James Perse is gaining great popularity as a logo-less new luxury brand.
James Perse is a brand introduced by James Perse, the son of Tommy Perse, founder of Maxfield, a representative premium select shop in LA. It is famous for timeless basic clothing such as basic T-shirts, knits, and pants. It operates global flagship stores in the US, Canada, Japan, and other countries, and first opened in Korea at Galleria Luxury Hall in October 2021.
Sales of James Perse have been continuously increasing. Sales at the Galleria Luxury Hall store from January to March this year increased by 9% compared to the previous year. The average monthly sales of stores currently operating in the metropolitan area are about 100 million KRW, ranking among the top sales within the product category.
James Perse is characterized by fashion that focuses on basics without logos, based on good materials and fabrics. The price range is relatively high, with a basic plain cotton T-shirt costing 150,000 KRW and knits priced between 700,000 to 800,000 KRW, but it is receiving positive responses in terms of quality.
A Galleria representative said, “Recently, customers in their 20s and 30s tend to look for high-quality new luxury brands rather than logo-play fashion,” adding, “We plan to continuously discover brands with good materials like James Perse in the future.”
