From April 3, Significant Expansion of User Access Features
Role as Control Tower for Mismatch Resolution and Startup Policy
Busan City will fully revamp and operate the online platform ‘Busan Startup Portal,’ which provides all information about Busan’s startup ecosystem, starting from the 3rd.
The ‘Busan Startup Portal’ was first established in July 2015 and had been operated mainly for promoting and applying for Busan startup support projects. In response to the demand for strengthening the role of an integrated control tower, a full-scale revamp began in July last year.
The newly operated Busan Startup Portal offers services such as ▲announcement and application for startup support projects ▲application for residency in support facilities ▲application for specialized consulting ▲application for venue rental and equipment rental ▲introduction of representative startup companies ▲self-diagnosis and customized support project recommendations ▲startup-investor matching ▲implementation of a map of startup-related facilities and infrastructure (Infra Map).
In particular, the ‘application’ services for various projects, which were previously provided indirectly through links to respective institutions, have been improved to allow direct application through the portal.
Additionally, an ‘investment brokerage service’ connecting startups and investors is provided, where startups wishing to attract investment can register their company introduction (IR) materials, allowing investors to view them and request meetings.
Furthermore, based on Kakao Map services, a map of local startup-related facilities has been implemented, offering services such as indexing by facility type and detailed location guidance.
Moreover, management pages for each startup-related institution are provided to facilitate project management by institution, and efforts have been made to enhance management operations by enabling post-support project performance surveys and statistical utilization using the company database (DB).
Son Seong-eun, the city’s Financial Startup Policy Officer, said, “From the preparation stage of the revamp, we focused on improving practical user convenience through continuous feedback sharing among entrepreneurs, investors, and startup support institutions,” adding, “We will strive further to ensure that the Busan Startup Portal functions faithfully as the online control tower for Busan’s startup policies.”
