Kolon Global Connects Home and Car Both Ways with 'Home to Car Service'

Kolon Global has fully implemented the ‘Home to Car’ service, which controls the car from home, following the ‘Car to Home’ service that controls the home from the car.

Kolon Global announced on the 29th that it has first applied the Home to Car service at the Jayang Haneulchae Verre complex in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

The newly introduced Home to Car service is a smart home service implemented through the dedicated home Internet of Things (IoT) platform called ‘Haneulchae IoK.’ Residents can remotely control vehicles from Hyundai Motor Group’s Genesis, Hyundai, and Kia brands via the in-home wall pad. Using the Home to Car service, residents can easily control vehicle ignition, locking, air conditioning, and hazard lights within their units.

In particular, this Home to Car service is significant because it connects the home and car bidirectionally. In May last year, Kolon Global signed an agreement with Hyundai Motor Group and Kolon Benit for the provision of Home to Car and Car to Home services and collaborated to commercialize the service. In December last year, the Car to Home service was applied to all sites where Haneulchae IoK is provided.

Starting with Jayang Haneulchae Verre, Kolon Global plans to expand the application of the Home to Car service to major complexes nationwide. Additionally, based on the multi-service platform that already supports smart appliance integration, voice recognition functions, and integrated residential services, the company will continue to expand advanced smart home services.
