Fostering Urban-Rural Symbiotic Local Communities, Establishing Foundations for Local Community Growth
The Pohang Social Enterprise Council (Chairman Ham Seong-hee) and the New Vitality Plus Project Promotion Team (Director Kim Jin-geun) signed a business agreement on the 16th at the Pohang Agricultural Education Welfare Center to "foster a rural-urban win-win regional community and realize social value."
The Social Enterprise Council and the Promotion Team signed the business agreement with the purpose of jointly addressing local community issues, developing regional communities, nurturing social economy organizations, creating jobs for vulnerable groups, discovering new industries, and advancing regional community development. They agreed to share information on manpower, technology, industry, and social economy, as well as human and material infrastructure, to jointly promote various projects aimed at fostering rural regional communities and establishing growth foundations.
Ham Seong-hee, Chairman of the Social Enterprise Council, stated, "Through this business agreement, it will be another opportunity to widely promote the importance of the social economy and social value in the local community. During the joint project implementation with the Promotion Team, we will assist in making the rural-urban win-win action group development process more effective and actively support new entrepreneurs to enter as social enterprises. We will do our best to contribute to social economy participation and job creation for vulnerable groups."
