Geochang-gun Promotes On-site Agricultural Machinery Usage Training

Agricultural Excavator Safety Training and On-site Practical Training Conducted

Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will conduct on-site practical technology training for return-to-farming and return-to-village individuals, new farmers, and women farmers until November.

The on-site practical technology training held every Wednesday and Friday at the Agricultural Technology Center includes operation and field practice of agricultural excavators, as well as safe driving and accident prevention education. After completion, participants can rent and use agricultural excavators from the rental business office.

Additionally, tractor simulator training, which is highly helpful in farming sites, will be operated to help participants acquire proficiency through pre-practice education on operation and driving methods, and to prevent unexpected incidents and accidents. This will be conducted alongside the excavator training.

Park Seung-jin, director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, “Agricultural machinery safety accidents have been steadily increasing, with 11 cases in 2021 and 17 cases in 2022. We will work harder to prevent agricultural machinery safety accidents among farmers by cooperating with related organizations such as the police and fire departments.”
