Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Celebrates the Opening of the 47th Mapo Mayor's Cup Soccer Tournament

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the opening ceremony of the 47th Mapo Mayor's Cup Soccer Tournament held on the morning of the 19th at Mangwon Yusuji Soccer Field.

This soccer tournament was organized to promote the health and harmony of local soccer enthusiasts, establish a sound leisure culture, and revitalize community sports. Starting with the Gyeongseong Soccer Club, players from 19 soccer clubs entered, marking a grand beginning.

In his congratulatory speech, Mayor Park said, "There is a saying that if one gymnasium is built, three hospitals become unnecessary," adding, "All soccer club players who consistently exercise for their health are winners regardless of victory or defeat."

Meanwhile, the tournament will be held on the 19th and 26th at Mangwon Yusuji Stadium, as well as at Nanjicheon Artificial Turf Field, Nanji Water Reclamation Center Field, Ahyeon Middle School, and Seodaemun District Public Stadium, with a total of about 1,000 players participating in the matches.
