Understanding Dementia: Education on Treatment and Prevention
Cheongdo-myeon, Miryang-si, Gyeongnam, will hold a visiting special lecture on understanding, treatment, and prevention of dementia for residents of Cheongdo-myeon at 2 p.m. on the 21st in the conference room on the 2nd floor of the Administrative Welfare Center.
The 'Visiting Special Lecture' was selected as a supported project by applying to the celebrity invitation project supported by Busan Digital University through the Forest Village Small Library in Cheongdo-myeon, and will be held a total of four times throughout this year.

Dementia means 'moving away from a normal mind' and refers to the decline of memory, reasoning, thinking, and mental functions.
This special lecture will be conducted by Professor Kim Tae-jun of the Department of Social Welfare at Busan Digital University, focusing on the causes, treatment, and coping methods of dementia for a healthy old age. It will cover the causes and symptoms of dementia, its progression, dementia prevention rules through self-diagnosis, and exercise methods.
Library Director Ko Ye-dam said, "I hope this special lecture will serve as an opportunity for the elderly to understand that dementia can happen to anyone and to recognize the importance of prevention."
Cheongdo-myeon Mayor Park Hwa-seon said, "I am grateful to the Forest Village Small Library for providing valuable time for the residents," and added, "We will do our best to support the elderly so that they can prevent dementia and live healthily."
