Blockchain and fintech specialist Dunamu held the fundraising campaign together with Upbit users and the UNICEF Korea Committee from the 28th of last month until 12 PM on the 14th of this month. The campaign was conducted using a 'matching grant' method, where donations of Bitcoin to a dedicated electronic wallet address for Upbit users were matched by Dunamu with additional donations up to a certain limit.

A total of 276 Upbit users participated in this campaign, raising 6.5646 Bitcoins (approximately 210 million KRW as of the 14th). Upbit will donate a combined total of 14 Bitcoins (about 440 million KRW), including the participants' donations and Upbit's additional contributions, to the UNICEF Korea Committee.

Within just one week of the campaign's start, about 200 million KRW was raised, demonstrating strong interest in digital asset donations. Upbit plans to provide participants who contributed with a non-fungible token (NFT) as proof of their donation as a token of appreciation. Additionally, participants can receive donation receipts for their contributions, and issuance guidance will be provided individually starting from the 15th.

Lee Seok-woo, CEO of Dunamu, stated, "We hope that the relief funds raised together with Upbit users will contribute to the reconstruction, medical, and educational support in the earthquake-affected areas of T?rkiye. We sincerely thank everyone who participated in the campaign and will continue to strive to promote the culture of digital asset donations."

The 14 Bitcoins raised by Upbit users and Dunamu will be delivered to the affected areas in T?rkiye through the UNICEF Korea Committee and will be used for ▲reconstruction of earthquake-affected areas ▲clean water and sanitation support ▲safe medical and health support ▲educational services for children in the affected regions.
