KOSHA's 'Utilization of Research Base for Policy Development'
The Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) is holding a contest to find outstanding research papers in the field of occupational safety and health.
The Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute of KOSHA (Director Kim Eun-ah) is calling for submissions for the 10th Industrial Safety and Health Survey Data Paper Competition, held as part of this year’s Industrial Safety and Health Survey Data Academic Conference.
The institute holds the paper competition annually to encourage the use of raw data from nationally approved statistics such as the Working Environment Survey and the Industrial Safety and Health Status Survey, and to establish a research foundation that can contribute to policy making.
Since 2022, the event has been reorganized and operated as an academic conference consisting of the paper competition and a seminar to discuss excellent research results utilizing survey data.
The paper competition is open to anyone interested in the safety and health field, with paper submissions accepted through the institute’s website from March 13 to June 14, and results announced on June 30.
A total of 8 papers selected as the final outstanding works will be awarded certificates and prizes totaling 10.5 million KRW. The award ceremony for the paper competition will be held during the Industrial Safety and Health Month event in the first week of July.
Detailed information about the Industrial Safety and Health Survey Data Paper Competition can be found on the Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute’s website.
Director Kim Eun-ah of the Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute said, “We look forward to the participation of not only prospective and outstanding researchers in the field of occupational safety and health but also those who are interested,” adding, “We will strive to further activate academic and policy research utilizing nationally approved statistical survey data produced by the institute, such as the Working Environment Survey and the Industrial Safety and Health Status Survey.”
