bhc Chicken announced on the 20th that it has officially opened and started operating its first North American store, the 'LA Farmers Market Branch,' located on South Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles (LA), California, USA.
The LA Farmers Market Branch is directly operated by bhc Chicken as a forward base for full-scale entry into the US market. It will be actively used as a testbed store to target American consumers' tastes and expand the market within the US. The LA Farmers Market, opened in 1934, is a traditional market that is the most popular destination for tourists visiting LA and a key commercial area frequently visited by LA residents.
Through the opening of the LA Farmers Market Branch, bhc Chicken plans to widely promote K-Chicken, Korea's soul food, not only to local Americans but also to tourists visiting from around the world. The main menu features signature items such as Bburinkle, Machoking, and Goldking. In addition to whole chicken menus, partial meat series such as wings and tenders are also offered. The menu includes four types of lunch sets consisting of chicken, French fries, and drinks, as well as a total of about 20 items including French fries, Bburin fries, and coleslaw.
With the official opening of its first North American store, bhc Chicken plans to actively expand its overseas business. First, it plans to open its first bhc Chicken store in Singapore within the first half of this year and pioneer the Southeast Asian market, including the existing Malaysian store and Singapore. Additionally, through the successful landing of the LA Farmers Market Branch, the company aims to explore the entry of various dining brands within the bhc Group into the US market.
A bhc Chicken official said, "We put a lot of effort into site selection and opening, which took about a year, to enter the US market, and we will target the US market with the best quality and service," adding, "We will continue to introduce various menus tailored to American consumers' tastes to strengthen our brand competitiveness in the US."
