[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Engineering Technology Education Innovation Center at Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) participated in the two-day ‘Comprehensive Performance Evaluation and Industry-Academia Advisory Workshop’ held on the 8th and 9th, sharing and disseminating the results and achievements of the operation programs of the ‘Creative Convergence Engineering Talent Cultivation Support Project.’
The workshop was conducted with the purpose of expanding the network of universities participating in the 2022 Creative Convergence Engineering Talent Cultivation Project and establishing a foundation for engineering talent development, with directors and officials from the Engineering Technology Education Innovation Centers of a total of 11 universities participating.
During the comprehensive performance evaluation, university center directors introduced internal and external participation programs, presented excellent cases and achievement status of performance indicators, and received feedback on project progress. In addition, various discussions continued regarding ways to revitalize engineering technology education at junior colleges and directions for project operation.

Ye Min-woo, Director of the Engineering Technology Education Innovation Center at Gyeongnam Information University, said, “The Engineering Technology Education Innovation Center at Gyeongnam Information University has been conducting various programs to cultivate specialized personnel in the smart factory field,” adding, “In 2023, we will prepare even more diverse programs and customized curricula to do our best in nurturing specialized personnel in the smart factory field.”
