Education Support Voucher Card of 100,000 KRW per Person Issued
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will implement the ‘2023 Gyeongnam Education Support Voucher Project’ starting from the 13th to improve the academic achievement of elementary, middle, and high school students and provide equal educational opportunities.
The Gyeongsangnam-do Education Support Voucher Project provides education support cards to elementary, middle, and high school students from households with median income below 70% residing in the province.
Applications can be made by visiting the administrative welfare center of the guardian’s jurisdictional eup/myeon from the 13th to April 28th or by applying online through the Gyeongsangnam-do Education Support Card website.
However, existing beneficiaries retain their eligibility and can use the card without a separate reapplication process.
The education support voucher card, which accumulates 100,000 KRW worth of points annually per person, can be used at affiliated stores in Gyeongnam Province and each city and county. Within Geochang-gun, it can be used at Hongik Bookstore and Deokyu Bookstore.
At local bookstores, it can be used to purchase study books and learning supplies, and online, it can be used to pay for desired internet lecture fees.
