Cheon Ha-ram "Talks of President's Party Withdrawal and Impeachment
There Are Boundaries in Politics"
"Will Make It a Hopeful Party Convention"
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] The 'Pro-Lee Jun-seok faction' candidates challenging for the next leadership of the People Power Party stated on the 12th, "We will do our best to ensure that none of the headlines say 'Reform was thwarted' (the day after the party convention) by making sure all four of us are elected."
On this day, party representative candidate Cheon Ha-ram, supreme council member candidates Heo Eun-ah and Kim Yong-tae, and youth supreme council member candidate Lee Gi-in held a luncheon meeting at a restaurant in Yeouido and made these remarks.
They introduced the term 'Cheon-A-Yong-In (Cheon Ha-ram, Heo Eun-ah, Kim Yong-tae, Lee Gi-in),' which was created by taking one syllable from each of their names.
Candidate Cheon said, "If the headline reads 'The wind of reform is blocked by Yoon's heart (尹心) and Yoon's core associates (Yoon Seok-yeol's key aides),' it would be despairing as a member of the People Power Party," adding, "We will bring an irreversible wind of change."
He also criticized party representative candidate Kim Ki-hyun's remark that "President Ahn Cheol-soo's election raises concerns about presidential impeachment," saying, "Talks of presidential impeachment or party withdrawal, which should never arise, are appearing. Elections are important, and even if one is anxious about their own approval ratings, there are boundaries in politics," urging, "Let's proceed more calmly."
Candidate Kim Yong-tae also expressed regret over Kim Ki-hyun's impeachment remark, stating, "I cannot understand what is in his mind to make such a statement. It is a threat to party members." He further emphasized, "If this continues, the collective lynching that was directed at Na Kyung-won and Yoo Seung-min could be directed at Kim Ki-hyun."
Candidate Heo Eun-ah said, "I will not just talk politics but show it through actions," promising, "We will hold a party convention that does not disappoint. I will practice principled politics with confidence."
Candidate Lee Gi-in warned his competitor, youth supreme council member candidate Jang Ye-chan, saying, "It seems like you have nothing to fear while riding on the back of Yoon's core associates, but please exercise restraint."
