Namyangho, Former President of Korea National University of Agriculture and Fisheries, Appointed as Director of Gyeonggi Lifelong Education Promotion Institute Namyangho Nominee

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Nam Yang-ho, former president of Korea National University of Agriculture and Fisheries, has been nominated as the director of the Gyeonggi-do Lifelong Education Promotion Institute.


Nominee Nam previously served as senior researcher at Samsung Economic Research Institute's Business Strategy Office, secretary for agriculture, fisheries, and food at the Presidential Office of Economic Secretary, and director of the Human Resources Development Institute at the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation.


The director of the Gyeonggi-do Lifelong Education Promotion Institute is subject to a confirmation hearing. Gyeonggi-do plans to send a request for a confirmation hearing for nominee Nam to the provincial council next week. Since the 8th elected administration, 13 heads of affiliated organizations, including Kim Se-yong, president of Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation, have been appointed after confirmation hearings by the provincial council. No candidates have been rejected.
