[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Jang Daewoon, the 10th Chief of Changwon Maritime Police Station in Gyeongnam, took office on the 27th.
The former 9th Chief, Ryu Yonghwan, moved to the position of Commander of the Aviation Unit at the West Sea Regional Headquarters.
According to Changwon Maritime Police, instead of holding an inauguration ceremony, Chief Jang inspected maritime security situations at the comprehensive situation room, visited workplaces to greet employees, and then began his duties.
Chief Jang, originally from Haenam, Jeonnam, joined the maritime police as a lieutenant in 2004 and has served as the Audit Officer at Jeju Regional Headquarters, Head of Investigation Division at Donghae Regional Headquarters, Head of International Information Analysis Team at the Korea Coast Guard Headquarters, Chief of Criminal Affairs, Chief of Investigation, and Head of Investigation Review Division.
Chief Jang said, “I will faithfully carry out the basic duties, enhance work capabilities through communication and harmony among members, and establish strict public service discipline. I hope to become a maritime police force trusted by the public and committed to justice.”
