Yeonggwang-gun Launches 'Comprehensive Construction Project Planning Team'

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] On the 26th, Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do held an inauguration ceremony for the full-scale operation of the Construction Project Comprehensive Promotion Planning Team (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Planning Team’) at the small conference room of the county office.

According to the county on the 27th, the Planning Team is organized with the head of the Construction Division as the team leader, consisting of 10 teams by field, 48 technical public officials from the main office, and 12 from towns and townships, totaling 60 members.

The county will focus on early ordering of this year’s construction projects by March 31 to revitalize the local economy through surveying, design, review of task instructions and design documents for a total of 426 construction projects.

Also, by forming teams of senior and junior public officials in each group to conduct in-house surveying and design for 132 projects, it will provide an opportunity to acquire know-how and skills in technical work, and is expected to greatly help in information sharing as well as practical skill development.

A county official said, “Through the operation of the Planning Team, we will do our best to ignite the local economy by early ordering all designed projects to revitalize the construction industry, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19, and respond to national policies through prompt budget execution.”

He added, “We will also actively strive to improve convenience by resolving residents’ inconveniences through swift project promotion.”
