Among the new cases, 34 were imported from overseas.
The number of critically ill patients currently hospitalized increased by 7 to 489 compared to the previous day. The number of critically ill patients has remained in the 400s for nine consecutive days.
There were 26 additional COVID-19 related deaths reported, bringing the total deaths to 33,296, with a fatality rate of 0.11%.
As of midnight, the additional vaccination rate was 34.5% for those aged 60 and over, and 61.8% for infection-vulnerable facilities.
