"Ruining Politics with Arrogant Deception"
Former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok stated on the 14th, "While I don't have the courage to run in the party convention, we just need to judge the Secretary-General petitioner who tries to ruin politics with arrogance and deceit." This is interpreted as a remark targeting Jang Je-won, a 'Yoon core faction' member of the People Power Party.
On the same day, Lee said on Facebook, "This party convention will be an election to judge the person who wants to become Secretary-General by pushing someone and cause a nomination turmoil," adding, "There is a reason why some people suddenly act recklessly."
Assemblyman Jang has repeatedly targeted former lawmaker Na Kyung-won. On the 13th, he criticized Na on Facebook, saying, "She is playing the typical victim role as if she is being persecuted and driven out of her position," and added, "She pretends to support the president but aims to become the leader of the anti-Yoon (anti-Yoon Seok-yeol) faction."
Jang said, "It has gone too far for a public official handling important national policies to politically exploit their position. I am at a loss for words at the hypocritical attitude pretending to support the president the most," and pointed out, "A person who only pursues their own politics while pretending to be noble as if they are the most supportive of the president is a cowardly anti-Yoon disguised as a pro-Yoon."
Jang added, "What is the difference between them and Yoo Seung-min and Lee Jun-seok, who keep saying 'Yoon core faction, Yoon core faction'? Isn't this behavior an attack on the president?" and said, "Those who stir up trouble in our party are enough with these people."
