Cube Entertainment (G)I-DLE Enters US 'MediaBase Top 40'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Cube Entertainment announced on the 11th that their girl group (G)I-DLE's title track "Nxde" from their mini 5th album "I love," released last October, ranked 39th on the US "Mediabase's Top 40 Radio Airplay Chart" from the 1st to the 7th.

This chart is compiled by a music industry service company that monitors over 180 radio stations in the US and Canada 24 hours a day, aggregating songs played on radio stations to publish music charts and data. The achievement is particularly significant as (G)I-DLE is the first K-POP girl group to chart on the "Mediabase Top 40" with a self-produced song.

Additionally, (G)I-DLE's "Nxde" also entered the Billboard Pop Airplay Chart for the first time, ranking 40th. The Billboard Pop Airplay Chart reflects the number of plays on 160 mainstream radio stations across the US during a week.

JoJo Wright, a DJ at US KIIS FM radio, said, "This is a very historic moment for the self-produced group (G)I-DLE. Especially since 'Nxde' is mostly composed of Korean lyrics." He added, "Their growth so far is impressive, and I believe they have great potential to change the landscape of K-POP in the US market."

(G)I-DLE's mini 5th album "I love," released last October, not only won 11 trophies on domestic music shows but also ranked first in the iTunes Top Album category in 40 regions worldwide, surpassing initial sales of 678,000 copies with a growth rate of about 284%. Riding on this success, "I love" entered the Billboard 200 at 71st place, the title track "Nxde" ranked 13th on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart, 50th on the Billboard Global 200, and reached 198th on the Billboard Global (excluding US) chart, peaking at 34th.

Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE, who created a hot syndrome last year with "TOMBOY" and "Nxde," will meet fans through their fan meeting "(G)I-DLE OFFICIAL FAN CLUB NEVERLAND 3RD FAN MEETING [Haengunui Pyeonji]" at the SK Olympic Handball Stadium on the 28th and 29th.
