[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Jeong Jin-seok, Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, promised on the 1st, "The People Power Party and the Yoon Seok-yeol government will make this year, the Year of the Black Rabbit, a year to 'revitalize the spirit of the people and achieve growth for the Republic of Korea.'"
In his New Year's address, Chairman Jeong stated, "We will overcome the crisis with thorough preparation and make this a year in which people's livelihoods take a leap forward."
He said, "The people launched the Yoon Seok-yeol government with great support, asking to establish 'fairness and justice' properly," and added, "I sincerely thank the people for their great choice."
Chairman Jeong expressed his determination, saying, "Although we have prioritized people's livelihoods and the economy, it seems we have fallen short of the people's expectations, which is regrettable. In the new year, we will meticulously manage the people's daily lives so that they can say, 'We trusted them, and they really did well.'"
He is currently visiting Brazil as a special envoy to celebrate the inauguration of Luiz In?cio Lula da Silva, President of Brazil, on the 30th of last month.

Respected and beloved citizens,
The new year of the Black Rabbit (Gyemyo-nyeon) has dawned. I wish you a happy new year.
Last year was a tumultuous year in many ways.
The reorganization of the international order, the global economic crisis, and the relentless COVID-19 pandemic,
it was truly a period of comprehensive crisis with both internal and external challenges overlapping.

The Emergency Response Committee was launched with difficulty amid internal party turmoil.

In the new year, we will meticulously manage the people's daily lives
so that they can say, "We trusted them, and they really did well."
To meet the higher expectations of the people,
the People Power Party will devote all efforts.
