The Non-Life Insurance Association announced on the 21st that it has published the third edition of the "Major Consumer Consultation Cases in Non-Life Insurance," which includes such content. This is the third revised edition of the consultation casebook first published in August 2020.
This casebook contains a total of 94 cases, including 30 newly selected cases focusing on those that consumers are highly interested in or need to be cautious about at each stage of insurance subscription, maintenance, and claims.
In the case of indemnity medical insurance, various issues are summarized comparatively, including the evolution from the 1st to the 4th generation and changes in major items. It also includes explanations about the relationship with automobile insurance.
In the automobile insurance section, explanations are provided on vehicle-sharing services, types of driving experience recognized as insurance subscription history, and the scope of uninsured motorist coverage utilization.
General insurance introduces whether compensation is provided under personal liability insurance for daily life (Ilbaechaek) related to damages occurring in daily life such as pipe leaks and mobile phone damage. Additionally, it contains information on procedures for handling disputes over automobile fault, acquisition tax reduction procedures when purchasing a new car due to flooding, and changes in systems from previous casebooks.
The consultation casebook is distributed free of charge to insurance companies, consumer organizations, and related institutions, and is also posted on the association's website. A representative of the Non-Life Insurance Association stated, "We plan to regularly publish consultation casebooks by selecting newly accumulated consultation cases in the future," and added, "We will continue to strive to enhance consumer rights and resolve complaints."
