[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Sim Jeong-woo] Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do recently announced on the 15th that it conducted regular education on wildfire prevention and industrial safety and health, as well as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training at the Goheung Cultural Center seminar room.
This training was conducted for 20 members of the wildfire specialized prevention and suppression team by inviting two professional instructors from the Korea Forest Industry Safety and Health Association.
The training content consisted of ▲theoretical education on wildfire prevention and safe suppression ▲education on wildfire occurrence response procedures and defensive line establishment ▲emergency response CPR training.
A county official stated, "To maximize the effectiveness of wildfire disaster response, we will enhance expertise through continuous safety education and training for wildfire suppression personnel and make every effort to minimize wildfire damage."
He added, "We will also do our best to prevent safety accidents among wildfire suppression team members as well as prevent wildfires."
