[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Min-jae] The Small Enterprise and Market Service announced on the 9th that it held the '2022 Small Business Startup and Growth Week' for three days starting from the 7th.
The 2022 Startup and Growth Week was held at Yeoksam FYI to share the major achievements of this year's small business startup and growth support projects and to explore new growth strategies for small business owners through networking with participating companies, VCs, consumers, and MDs.
During the three-day event, the C&G Marketing Festival, which sought synergy between micro-influencers and small business owners, was held. On the 8th, lectures for small business owners were given by Professor Kim Kyung-il of Ajou University and CEO Lee Pil-sung of Sandbox. The Small Business Con, where participants could experience and purchase products from participating companies, operated until 6 p.m. on the last day.
On the final day of the event, the 9th, the SoTY (Small business of The Year) event, which selects the small business of the year, took place. SoTY featured 20 companies selected from the Strong Small Business Growth Support Project, New Business Startup Academy, and the public-private collaborative education short clip speech school.
Additionally, outstanding small business owners were selected through pitching sessions on this year's achievements and future visions. Up to 10 awards will be given, including the 'Global Award' for small business owners evaluated to have global expansion capabilities and the 'Pitching Award' for those who demonstrated excellent achievements and vision. The pitching stage, including SoTY, will be broadcast live on YouTube channel 'GongsajangTV,' with various events such as viewing certifications and on-site mock investment festivals.
Park Sung-hyo, Director of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, said, "I hope this event becomes a festival for small business owners by sharing the achievements of innovative small business owners who have grown through the small business nurturing system," and added, "The Service will also spare no systematic support for small business startup and growth."
