Superlabs Unveils Virtual Human 'Moa'... Debuts in Naver Shopping Fashion Town Advertisement

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Choi] Superlabs, an AI virtual human specialist company under Snow, a subsidiary of Naver, announced on the 29th that the virtual human 'Moa (MOA)' made her debut through an advertisement video for Naver Shopping Fashion Town.


Fashion Town is an integrated online concierge service newly launched by Naver on the 9th, offering a fashion-specialized shopping space where users can browse department stores, outlets, brands, trendy Soho, and designer fashion all at once. In this video, Moa is shown enjoying shopping while moving through various spaces in Fashion Town.


Moa, Superlabs' first virtual human, is named after the French word 'Moi,' meaning 'me,' pronounced as it is. She has a persona as a user who loves to freely express herself through fashion and is the most active user of the Naver Fashion Town service.


The creation of Moa's image involved the full deployment of Superlabs' AI GAN technology and 3D generation technology. Additionally, full 3D modeling techniques were combined with motion capture and retargeting technology to express natural movements. For detailed movements of facial muscles according to hair and expressions, photorealistic rendering was applied.


Jinsu Jeon, CEO of Superlabs, said, "In the future, virtual humans will play a central role across various fields such as personas for content creators regardless of borders, models in business, and personas in entertainment. We will introduce virtual humans that can also be active in various spaces within the metaverse by applying more advanced AI technology."
