SKB, "Advertising Only in Our Neighborhood, Reducing Your Advertising Costs"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] SK Broadband is expanding its 'B tv Our Neighborhood Ads' service, which allows local small business owners to broadcast advertisements on a 'dong' (neighborhood) basis.

On the 28th, SK Broadband announced that it will conduct an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) campaign for its small business advertising service 'B tv Our Neighborhood Ads.' The initiative aims to connect the broadcasting advertising market, which is mainly dominated by large and medium-sized enterprises, to local businesses, revitalizing neighborhood commercial districts and enhancing social value. This month, SK Broadband collaborated with the Suyu Market Merchants Association to produce 'B tv Our Neighborhood Ads' content to support the activation of traditional markets, broadcasting it to areas near Suyu to promote the Suyu Market brand. They are also conducting pilot tests for regional targeting advertisements to promote senior job information. They supported the production and broadcasting of local advertisements promoting job guidance events by the Suwon Senior Club, an affiliate of Suwon City, and introducing senior job information within Suwon City.

Last month, SK Incheon Petrochem and 'B tv Our Neighborhood Ads' collaborated to encourage visits to traditional markets in Incheon Seo-gu and enhance the image of local win-win companies. Promotional videos were produced for five representative traditional markets in Incheon Seo-gu: Gangnam Market, Singeobuk Market, Jeongseojin Central Market, Gajwa Market, and Incheon Livestock Market. The videos introduced abundant food, entertainment, restaurants, and convenience facilities that highlight the characteristics of each market. The advertisements are being broadcast on movie, drama, sports, and entertainment channels targeting the administrative dongs surrounding each market until the end of this year.

In September, the 'B tv Our Neighborhood Ads' website held the 'Cheer for Our Neighborhood Boss' event, which provided free TV advertisements through a lottery among small business owners who left stories and comments on the site. From September 5 to October 10, the website had over 100,000 visitors during the event period. The company explained, "Small business owners from various industries participated, with many from sports centers, dining, and academies, demonstrating that affordable TV advertising can become a promotional medium for small business owners who mainly operate with flyers in areas with high foot traffic." Through the event, 122 small business owners received free advertising coupons and online promotion package benefits.

During the vacation months of July and August, SK Broadband collaborated with the Environmental Foundation to run the 'Sea Snack' campaign, which exchanged trash collected from beaches for snacks. This campaign was broadcast mainly in the Donghae region of Gangwon Province through Our Neighborhood Ads and received positive responses. 'B tv Our Neighborhood Ads' recorded sales three times higher in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year. The company expects growth of more than six times compared to last year in the second half.
