[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Neople announced on the 21st that Yoon Myung-jin, Director of Action Studio, has been promoted and appointed as the new CEO.
Yoon Myung-jin, the newly appointed CEO, joined Neople as a new employee in 2008, served as the head of the Dungeon & Fighter (hereafter, DNF) development team in 2014, head of Action Studio in 2017, and in 2021, served as Director and General Director of Action Studio. He is known as the representative "DNF Man" of Neople, leading the live service of DNF both domestically and internationally, as well as the development of new IP games based on DNF.
In particular, based on his deep understanding of IP and users, he led the heyday of DNF through stable live services, and demonstrated outstanding development leadership by successfully launching and achieving commercial success with the new title "DNF Mobile".
Yoon Myung-jin, the newly appointed CEO, stated, "I am honored to take on the important role of CEO of Neople. Neople is a company with the ability to create action-sensory games that are fun and distinctive. Going forward, we will establish ourselves as a leading global development company by implementing bold strategies to further expand the value of our IP and strengthening our development capabilities that preserve the core fun of games."
The new CEO is scheduled to be officially appointed through related procedures such as the board of directors meeting in November.
Current CEO Noh Jung-hwan will oversee IP-centered business development at Nexon Korea. Since taking office as CEO of Neople in February 2018, Noh Jung-hwan has strengthened growth momentum through stable live operations of Dungeon & Fighter and Cyphers, as well as active support for new game development during his tenure.
