[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] On the 26th, Dong-Eui University invited Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tung of the Embassy of Vietnam in Korea to give a special lecture at the Industry-Academia Cooperation Building PRIME Convention Multipurpose Hall.
The special lecture was conducted as part of the Global Competency Enhancement Program of the University Innovation Project, and the topic was "30 Years of Korea-Vietnam Relations: Retrospect and Prospects."
In the lecture, Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tung stated, "Currently, Vietnam ranks first among Korea's ASEAN trading partners in terms of active exchanges," adding, "Over the past 30 years, the two countries have achieved rapid growth through active exchanges in trade, investment, and tourism sectors, making continuous cooperation between the two countries important in the future."
Dong-Eui University President Han Su-hwan and Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tung shared opinions on the status of Vietnamese international students, their career paths, and employment after graduation, agreeing to mutually cooperate in related fields going forward.
Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tung was appointed as the Ambassador to the Embassy of Vietnam in Korea in August 2020. He previously served as the Director of the Diplomatic Academy, which trains professional Vietnamese diplomats and foreign affairs officials, and as Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of Vietnam in the United States.
