Samsung Securities Opens Premium Era in Your Hand with S Lounge


[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Myunghwan] Samsung Securities announced on the 26th that it has launched 'S.Lounge,' a customized total care service provided free of charge to its top online customers.


Samsung Securities has been promoting the development of new services to enhance satisfaction among top customers who have significantly increased after the pandemic among non-face-to-face digital customers with large asset sizes, large transaction volumes, and diverse information needs.


According to Samsung Securities, this service development was thoroughly based on customer needs. A survey conducted among Samsung Securities customers for service development showed that 87% of respondents, despite conducting non-face-to-face transactions, answered that they needed PB (Private Banking) consultation. The desire to check the investment status of expert investors was also high at 67%.


Based on customer needs, Samsung Securities developed 10 carefully selected specialized services and announced that from the 26th, it will provide the S.Lounge service to about 250,000 top customers who exceed certain asset size or transaction amount criteria. S.Lounge is available on Samsung Securities' Mobile Trading System (MTS) 'mPOP' and is offered in three main lounges.


In the 'Consulting Lounge' menu, non-face-to-face customers trading through digital channels can call a digital PB to receive one-stop investment consultation and services through 'Immediate Consultation,' and can also book a desired time for phone consultations with experts to resolve investment-related questions and concerns through the 'Specialized Reservation Consultation' service. Consultations cover a wide range of asset management topics, including domestic and international stocks, financial products, pensions, and derivatives.


Next, by using the 'Investment Information Lounge' menu, customers can receive customized investment information in the form of a subscription service. Among the investment information, 'Research Talk' allows customers to select the types of information they want to receive, such as stock names, foreign countries, analyst names, and issue themes, and receive real-time popup messages on their phones with comments written by analysts on major issues in those fields. 'Report Plus' provides reports on small and mid-cap stocks or unlisted stocks not covered by Samsung Securities Research through partnerships with external institutions. The 'Ranking Insight,' which shows the top 10 ranking charts of investment assets selected by high-net-worth customers and expert stock investors among Samsung Securities clients, is also provided.


Finally, the 'Seminar Lounge' offers differentiated content in the form of lectures. Through this menu, customers can watch live seminars hosted by Samsung Securities experts on major issues related to domestic and international stocks or financial products and participate in real-time Q&A sessions.


For digital high-net-worth customers with large assets or transaction volumes, in addition to the basic S.Lounge services, a more specialized 'S.Lounge VIP' service is provided in each area. S.Lounge VIP customers receive a 'Dedicated Top Digital PB Care' service. When S.Lounge VIP customers call Samsung Securities, they are connected to the Digital SNI team, which exclusively handles high-net-worth clients. The Digital SNI team is a specialized organization capable of providing comprehensive asset management services remotely, including basic investment consultation, unlisted stocks, professional investors, and comprehensive tax consultation, at a level equivalent to dedicated branches for high-net-worth clients.


If S.Lounge VIP customers require more detailed consulting related to tax, real estate, or investment, they can apply for the 'Expert Pro Consulting' service to have one-on-one consultations with specialized consulting staff at the headquarters. Additionally, tax and real estate-related investment information letters are provided monthly via email exclusively for S.Lounge VIP customers. Private web seminars on topics such as customized investment, tax, and issues for high-net-worth clients will also be operated to enhance satisfaction.


Kim Taeyoung, Head of Digital Division at Samsung Securities, emphasized, "As the number of customers trading digitally rapidly increases, the size of their assets, investment targets, and information needs are expanding at an unprecedented pace compared to the past. The launch of the high-quality service S.Lounge, which incorporates the know-how accumulated as a leader in the asset management market, is an attempt to provide these customers with a completely differentiated satisfaction from other companies." He added, "We will continue to add various services so that the newly launched service can become a new landmark of 'premium digital service' in the domestic securities industry."
