[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] The Galaxy Watch5 features a circular design similar to its predecessor. The 40mm model is available in Graphite, Pink Gold, and Silver, while the 44mm model comes in Graphite, Sapphire, and Silver colors.

The product I experienced was the Galaxy Watch5 44mm Sapphire, which has a refreshing teal color. When placed side by side with the Galaxy Watch4 40mm model I usually use, I did not notice any significant difference in appearance except for the color.

While I was generally satisfied with the Galaxy Watch4, the battery life was disappointing. If I missed charging even for a day, the power would run out by evening, causing inconvenience as I had to charge it every busy morning.

The Galaxy Watch5 is equipped with a 284mAh battery for the 40mm model and a 410mAh battery for the 44mm model, which is about 13% larger than its predecessor. This is the most satisfying aspect during use.

Charging speed has also improved. Samsung Electronics explained that even after charging for just 30 minutes from a fully discharged state, about 45% of the battery is charged, and the charging speed is 30% faster compared to the previous model.

The lightweight aluminum body and the application of sapphire crystal on the front have enhanced durability compared to the previous model.

Users can combine various straps and watch faces according to their preferences.

Functions such as blood pressure, electrocardiogram, blood oxygen saturation, and body composition measurement are similar to the previous model. Additionally, the accuracy of the BioActive sensor has been improved, providing integrated health management functions. It truly is a health partner on your wrist.

The sensor's accuracy has increased, and the rear design has been improved. Compared to the previous model, the area where the sensor is located is narrower and higher. I tried measuring body composition and electrocardiogram as a test and felt that it adhered better to the wrist than before.

The body composition measurement feature was very popular when it was first introduced in the previous model. According to Samsung Electronics, this feature has become even more accurate this time. Although I did not compare it with values from specialized body composition measurement devices, there was a slight difference in results when measuring body composition consecutively under the same conditions between the Galaxy Watch4 and this model.

Moreover, the Galaxy Watch series has incorporated a temperature measurement sensor for the first time. It is expected to open up possibilities for various health management uses by measuring body temperature in the future.
