Significant Increase in Compensation Amounts for Agricultural Machinery Accidents
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, has enrolled all residents in the "Resident Safety Insurance."
The Sancheong Resident Safety Insurance is designed to compensate for damages that may occur in the event of unexpected accidents caused by various disasters or crimes during daily life.
The insurance premium is fully covered by Sancheong-gun. The coverage period is from August 7, 2022, to August 6, 2023. During this period, all residents, including new residents and registered foreigners, are eligible for coverage.
The coverage items include 19 categories such as ▲death from natural disasters (including heatstroke and sunstroke) ▲injury death and aftereffects from explosions, fires, and collapses ▲drowning death ▲injury death and aftereffects from agricultural machinery accidents. In particular, this year, to provide practical benefits to residents, the coverage amount for injury death and aftereffects from agricultural machinery accidents has been significantly increased compared to last year.
Additionally, coverage for death caused by infectious diseases related to COVID-19 has been added.
