A Total of 475km Over 11 Courses... Starting on the 29th with 5 Departures Scheduled
[Haenam=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jeonnam Haenam-gun announced on the 10th that it has launched a bicycle travel product starting from Ttangkkeut.
The Haenam Ttangkkeut Bicycle Road, which covers the beaches, plains, and mountain courses of Ttangkkeut Haenam, consists of a total of 11 courses with a total length of 475 km, boasting the longest course among local governments, requiring about 50 hours to complete.
The “Ttangkkeut Bicycle Road Completion Project” product, which completes all bicycle paths, is conducted over 5 sessions, and by participating in all sessions, one can complete the entire course.
The first session product, held on the 29th, was sold out immediately upon release and is receiving great response.
Starting with “Course 1 Dalma Godo,” which surrounds Dalmasan, where the Dinosaur Mountain Range extends like a folding screen, “Course 2 Hwawon Peninsula Road,” a coastal road with scenic views including the Mokpo Old Lighthouse and beautiful coastline, “Course 3 Usuyeong Road” passing through hills and wilderness, “Course 4 Sea Hundred Ri Road” with various coastal paths, “Course 5 Horizon Road” piercing straight through the vast wilderness with a distant horizon, “Course 6 Yunsendo Road” where you can fully feel the atmosphere of Nokudang, “Course 7 Gocheonam Lakeside Road” running alongside wide fields, a large lake, and migratory birds, “Course 8 Geumgangsan Circuit,” Haenam’s main mountain, “Course 9 Heukseoksan Road,” a special remote mountain hike with unique rock formations, “Course 10 Nodu Road,” a mesmerizing sea path that makes you forget your way, and “Course 11 Jujaksan Road,” where you can feel the thrill of rugged mountain paths.
The county formed the Haenam Ttangkkeut Bicycle Road course after conducting on-site surveys throughout Haenam last year with bicycle course development experts.
To enhance accessibility, signboards were installed on each course and GPX files were posted on the website so that anyone can safely and easily enjoy bicycle riding.
A county official said, “Haenam Ttangkkeut Bicycle Road is gaining popularity among MBT bicycle travelers as a new tourist course, with diverse courses and the meaning of starting a bicycle tour from Ttangkkeut,” adding, “We hope this event will be a trip where visitors can enjoy the thrill, beautiful scenery, and a sense of accomplishment in Haenam, which has various natural environments.”
Meanwhile, the Haenam Ttangkkeut Bicycle Road Completion Project is scheduled to start on the 29th and continue on September 15, September 28, October 12, and October 26, with a total of 5 sessions. Each session lasts 2 nights and 3 days, and bicycle goods will be given as souvenirs only to travelers participating in the completion project.
