Inspection of Fire Safety Facilities in Traditional Markets and Multi-use Facilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Kim Joil) is implementing fire prevention measures until the 31st in preparation for the Chuseok holiday.
Through these fire prevention measures, the Fire Headquarters plans to strengthen on-site fire safety guidance, including inspections of fire facilities at traditional markets and multi-use facilities.
They will conduct joint fire safety inspections and meetings at 113 traditional markets and carry out special fire investigations at 417 multi-use facilities such as sales and transportation facilities and lodging establishments.
The investigations will focus on the maintenance status of fire facilities, closure or locking of emergency exits, and the act of placing obstacles, with plans to address any violations found.
In particular, they plan to strengthen safety management at 32 major tourist sites in the province by utilizing big data such as navigation search information.
Additionally, they will promote ▲ on-site administrative guidance for vulnerable residential facilities ▲ safety consulting for fire-vulnerable facilities such as nursing hospitals ▲ fire safety management education for apartment complexes ▲ and enhanced preventive patrols in factory-dense areas such as industrial complexes.
Furthermore, to raise awareness of fire safety, promotional activities will be intensified to focus on the installation of residential fire facilities, fire prevention rules, and important fire safety practices to be observed.
Chief Kim Joil stated, “We will do our best to ensure that residents can have a safe and enjoyable Chuseok holiday through prior safety inspections of traditional markets and multi-use facilities.”
Meanwhile, according to the Fire Headquarters, over the past five years during the Chuseok holiday period, a total of 145 fires occurred in the province, resulting in 6 casualties and property damage amounting to 750 million won.
