Kibo Implements 'Chogyeokcha Future Strategic Industry Preferential Support Program'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 1st that it will implement the 'Super-gap Future Strategic Industry Preferential Support Program' to overcome the recent complex economic crisis and lead the economic rebound.

This program was prepared as a preemptive measure for the successful implementation of the new government's national agenda. Its main purpose is to resolve temporary management difficulties of small and medium-sized venture companies engaged in future strategic industries and support them to leap into global top-tier companies.

The support targets companies related to 'Super-gap Future Strategic Industries.' These include companies engaged in 14 industries across five major fields: ▲Advanced Manufacturing (aerospace, next-generation semiconductors, displays, batteries, materials·components·equipment) ▲Energy (next-generation nuclear power, future energy) ▲Digital·Telecommunications (digital health, future networks) ▲Automation (AI, mobility, robotics) ▲Bio (red bio, convergence bio), as well as companies trading with them.

This program operates two tracks: support for growth-promising companies and support for companies facing management difficulties, and provides comprehensive support in a package format according to the company's situation.

Kibo stated that it will implement preferential measures such as ▲expansion of guarantee support calculation limits (up to 130%) ▲increase of guarantee ratio (up to 95%) ▲reduction of guarantee fee rate (up to 0.2 percentage points), and provide prompt and sufficient financial support so that companies can feel the benefits.

Kim Jong-ho, Chairman of Kibo, said, "Through this program, we will provide growth momentum to growth-promising companies in super-gap future strategic industries to become global top-tier companies, and comprehensive support to companies suffering from management difficulties to overcome crises, leading the economic rebound. Kibo will continue to faithfully support the new government's national agenda and fulfill its role as a comprehensive support institution for small and medium ventures."
