Naju-si Promotes 'Ma-eumpyeonji Project' Using LED Electronic Display Boards

[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] On the 22nd, Naju City in Jeollanam-do announced that it will promote the ‘Todak Todak Heart Letter Project’ using the LED display facilities of the Bitgaram Smart Media Station in collaboration with the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service (Chairman Park Jonggwan) and the Korea Creative Content Agency (President Jo Hyunrae).

The Heart Letter Project, promoted as part of the community win-win project by the Arts Council and the Korea Creative Content Agency, features seven local artists from the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions delivering messages of hope and comfort.

The messages from seven writers including Kwon Jiae (playwright), Kim Gyuseong (essayist), Kim Youngmi (picture book author), Kim Yongtae (novelist), Jo Kyunghui (children’s story writer), Jo Seongguk (children’s poet), and Hong Gwanhee (poet), along with message phrases from dramas, movies, and literary works, will be broadcast.

The Heart Letters will be displayed daily from 8 to 9 p.m. until the 31st of next month at the Smart Media Station located in Bitgaram Lake Park’s outdoor performance hall.

The Bitgaram Smart Media Station is a two-story three-dimensional building with transparent LED glass panels, established in 2016 as a collaborative project between the Korea Creative Content Agency and LH Corporation.

The interior of the building serves as a space for holding ‘My Own Exhibition’ to encourage citizens’ cultural and artistic activities, while the exterior LED display is used for Naju City promotion, media art videos, and citizen participation UCC screenings.

A city official said, “We hope this project will provide a special healing time in daily life for citizens tired of the repetitive routines amid COVID-19. We will continue to communicate for the citizens and actively exchange culture and arts with public institutions relocated to the innovation city.”
