[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] Bullet marks presumed to have been fired by Tetsuya Yamagami, the suspect in the assassination of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, were found about 90 meters away from the crime scene.
According to Kyodo News on the 13th, the Nara Prefectural Police Headquarters, investigating the murder case, searched the area near Yamato Saidaiji in Nara City, Nara Prefecture, where the shooting occurred, and confirmed three holes resembling bullet marks on a parking lot wall about 90 meters to the north.
The police conducted an on-site inspection with about 50 officers from early morning on the 13th and discovered holes presumed to be bullet marks.
According to reports, the holes were found at heights of approximately 4m, 5m, and 8m above ground, respectively.
The gun used in the crime has a structure similar to a shotgun. Shots were fired once each at distances of about 7m and 5m from former Prime Minister Abe.
