[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Lotte Outlet Gwangju Suwan Branch (Manager Lee Chung-yeol) announced on the 13th that it conducted a summer kimchi sharing activity for the local underprivileged.
On the 11th, the Charlotte Volunteer Group of Lotte Outlet Gwangju Suwan Branch held an event to make two types of summer kimchi (young radish kimchi and young cabbage kimchi) themselves through a donation program called "Fresh Kimchi is Good Even in Summer," in collaboration with the Gwangsan-gu Disabled Welfare Center in Gwangju.
Although kimchi-making support activities are carried out every winter, vulnerable households have expressed difficulties during the summer because they lack proper storage conditions for kimchi.
Accordingly, Lotte Outlet Gwangju Suwan Branch organized a summer kimchi support event, and the 200 kg of prepared summer kimchi was portioned and delivered to 50 households of severely disabled people living at home in the region.
Lee Chung-yeol, manager of Lotte Outlet Gwangju Suwan Branch, said, "It was a very meaningful occasion to lend a hand in the kimchi-making event for the underprivileged," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in sharing activities for marginalized groups in the community."
