[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] Home&Shopping announced on the 5th that it has signed a business agreement with the Research and Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation to support the entry of excellent small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the International Science Business Belt and R&D Special Zones into home shopping, aiming to expand sales channels for SMEs.
The signing ceremony held at the Home&Shopping headquarters was attended by Lee Wonseop, Co-CEO of Home&Shopping, and Kang Byungsam, Chairman of the Research and Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation, among others.
The two organizations plan to cooperate to promote corporate growth by supporting the entry of SMEs with outstanding technology and commercialization achievements within the Science Belt and Special Zones into home shopping, thereby enhancing product promotion and increasing sales.
Specifically, they will pursue cooperation in areas such as ▲support for broadcast sales and related expenses ▲discounts on sales commissions ▲joint discovery of excellent SMEs and consulting support to strengthen capabilities ▲joint development of corporate growth support programs.
Prior to the business agreement, on June 29, a product evaluation meeting for entry into Home&Shopping was held at Cheongju SB Plaza, attended by Science Belt SMEs and Home&Shopping MDs.
With support broadcasts for companies set to begin in earnest in the second half of the year, it is expected to create a representative case of win-win cooperation between the public and private sectors for SMEs.
Chairman Kang said, “I hope this business agreement will serve as an opportunity to enhance the capabilities of SMEs in the Special Zones and Science Belt and expand their sales channels,” adding, “We will actively support creating synergy through public-private win-win cooperation.”
CEO Lee stated, “Based on the corporate mission of co-growth with SMEs, we will build partnerships that can coexist with SMEs,” and added, “Taking this business agreement with the Special Zone Foundation as an opportunity, we will create a new virtuous cycle structure for SMEs and customers.”
