Winery Established in Napa Valley in 1997 by Stuart Sloan, Owner of a U.S. Supermarket Chain
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Kooksoondang announced on the 4th that it will exclusively import 'Sloan,' one of the top 10 cult wines in the United States, for the first time in Korea.
'Sloan Estate' is a winery established in 1997 in Rutherford, Napa Valley by Stuart Sloan, the owner of the American supermarket chain QFC. Sloan Estate currently produces the flagship wine 'Sloan' and the second wine 'Asterisk.' Both wines are primarily made from the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety, blended with Merlot and Cabernet Franc varieties depending on the wine. Sloan wine is characterized by its powerful and intense flavor, layered with diverse fruit aromas and tannins, while Asterisk wine is praised for its elegant and delicate harmony of fruit flavors.
A Kooksoondang official stated, "Kooksoondang has been discovering and introducing world-famous cult wines that have not been officially introduced in Korea. This time, through cooperation with the winery, Sloan Estate wine, considered one of the top 10 cult wines in the U.S., can be easily accessed by domestic consumers without purchasing through overseas mailing lists."
