Simultaneous Opening of Industrial Expo and Trend Conference
From Vaccine Industry to In Vitro Diagnostics in Microbiome Applications
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The '2022 Virus Bacteria Trend Conference,' where experts in bacteria and viruses gather to share the latest information and future strategies in the field, will be held on the 18th and 19th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
Held alongside the '1st International Virus Bacteria Industry Expo (ViBac2022),' the Trend Conference will feature 18 experts from industry, academia, hospitals, and research institutes. The conference will include presentations and information exchanges on the latest trends and best practices under themes such as ▲The world of industries utilizing bacteria and viruses ▲Pandemic response COVID-19 hospital operation cases ▲Vaccine-related business trends ▲Strategies in the in vitro diagnostics field ▲The role and strategies of communication to promote elderly health in the pandemic era.
In the first session on the 19th, Professor Emeritus Jeon Hyung-sik of Korea Polytechnic University will serve as the chair, and Lee Je-hee, Director of the Bioinformatics Research Institute at CJ Bioscience, will present on 'The World and Applications of the Microbiome.' Professor Kim In-seop of Hannam University, former Vice President of the Korean Society for Microbiology, will present on 'Virus Safety Evaluation - Virus Testing,' and Kang Sung-kyun, Head of Testing at Sartorius Korea Biotech, will present on 'Virus Safety Evaluation - Virus Removal Testing.'
The second session will be chaired by Professor Noh Tae-rin of the Healthcare Environment Design Department at Incheon Catholic Graduate School, with participants including Lee Je-hoon, Head of the Infectious Disease Testing Center at Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital, Kim Kyung-sik, Vice President of the Korean Association of Specialized Hospitals (Chairman of the Bestian Foundation), and Kim Sang-il, Director of Yangji Hospital.
On the 20th, the second session will focus on 'Vaccine Business Trends,' chaired by former Janssen Vaccine CEO Ahn Sang-jeom, who will review various vaccine-related businesses. Participants include Baek Young-ok, CEO of U-BioLogics, Professor Park Song-yong of Yonsei University's Department of Life Science and Technology, and Yeom Jeong-seon, CEO of Cha Vaccine Research Institute.
This ViBac2022 is the first domestic virus and bacteria-related industry expo sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Seoul City, and Asan City in Chungnam Province. It has been reported that buyers from 25 companies across 10 countries, including the United States, Germany, France, Italy, India, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam, have expressed interest in participating.
