Creation of a Sports Center at Lotte Cinema Yulha Branch
The movie theater has been transformed into a space for enjoying sports. It is Lotte Cinema Yulha (Dong-gu, Daegu) branch. It offers soccer and tennis lesson programs not only for adults but also for preschool children. Various services such as venue rental and tournament hosting are also provided.
On the 16th, Lotte Cultureworks announced that it had established an indoor sports facility at the Yulha branch in collaboration with the sports marketing company SAM. The space measures approximately 380 square meters (115 pyeong). Thanks to the theater's characteristically high ceiling, stable physical activities are possible. SAM, the partner company, is a sports event specialist operating about ten indoor and outdoor sports facilities. It has also organized events such as the Southeast Asia charity soccer matches by the Park Ji-sung Football Foundation. In addition to the sports center, Lotte Cinema is considering various space projects including K-POP fan cafes, kids facilities, and themed cafes. Kang Dong-young, head of Lotte Cinema’s space planning team, said, "We plan to continuously attract businesses that can leverage the advantages of the movie theater (space) and create various synergies," adding, "We will explore new possibilities in space marketing."
