[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Nayeon] Singer Park Hyunbin recalled the trauma from a traffic accident he suffered six years ago once again.
On the 9th, Park Hyunbin's cousin appeared on SBS variety show 'Fantastic Family.'
Appearing as the second DNA singer that day, he introduced an undisclosed star by saying, "My cousin is a star who rocked the Tokyo Dome in front of 45,000 spectators." Soon, Park Hyunbin appeared and his identity was revealed, surprising everyone.
Park Hyunbin said, "I live with my parents, so four generations of family live in one apartment," revealing that he is very close with his cousin. The cousin mentioned Park Hyunbin's traffic accident six years ago, saying, "He went through a serious traffic accident and had a very hard time. Since our family lives in the same apartment, it was fortunate that we could provide focused care."
Park Hyunbin also confessed, "I was in so much pain and difficulty that I was bedridden for about a year and a half. It was a four-car pileup under a large truck, so the car was naturally scrapped. At the time, I was told I might never walk again. Every night when I lay down to sleep, tears kept flowing, so I also received psychiatric treatment. The trauma and aftereffects were severe, so I received related treatments as well."
He continued, "Now, I have worked hard on rehabilitation and am almost fully recovered. The slight remaining pain would probably be relieved by a massage chair," adding, "I don't have a massage chair at home. I really want to be completely cured."
Meanwhile, Park Hyunbin, who debuted as a trot singer in 2006 and left numerous hits such as 'Parapara,' 'Gondre Mandre,' 'Shabang Shabang,' and 'Daechanin Saeng,' was involved in a four-car pileup on the highway in 2016 while traveling by car for a regional schedule. He suffered a femur fracture and was hospitalized for a year and a half, undergoing two surgeries.
In 2019, he appeared on Channel A's 'Happy Morning' and recounted the harrowing accident scene, saying, "I tried to avoid the car in front and got close to a stationary truck on the road. I saw everything ? the injuries and the bleeding."
