Kim Hyun-gi, a People Power Party candidate for Seoul City Council (Gangnam District 3rd electoral district), said in an interview, "Although the Yoon Suk-yeol administration has been established, the National Assembly is still in a difficult position with the ruling party in the minority, especially facing a large opposition party," and appealed, "In this local election, I ask for overwhelming support so that the People Power Party government can govern stably."

He also expressed his determination, saying, "I will do my best to ensure that People Power Party candidates running in the Gangnam area receive many votes."

Candidate Kim also mentioned that through street campaigns, he appeals more for support of the People Power Party government rather than for himself.

Kim, a three-term councilor who served in the 7th, 8th, and 9th Seoul City Council and chaired the Seoul City Council’s Culture, Sports, and Tourism Committee, is well known as a sharp candidate in his district.

Although Kim is challenging for a fourth term as a Seoul City Council member, he approaches the election with "a humble heart like a first-term councilor," and carefully explained his pledges in ▲housing policy ▲urban planning ▲urban transportation ▲education and culture ▲environment and parks ▲welfare and economy sectors.

Above all, to revitalize apartment complex reconstruction in the area, Kim pledged to actively promote ▲rapid integrated planning (Gyeongnam, Woosung 3rd, Hyundai 1st) ▲customized support for reconstruction maintenance plans (Woosung 6th and 8th, Hyundai 2nd and 3rd) ▲rapid support for reconstruction architectural review (Jugong 5th, 6th, and 7th complexes).

He also promised to immediately propose to the central government the relaxation of structural safety inspections and to recommend legal amendments to abolish harmful laws such as the excess profit recovery system.

As part of his urban transportation pledges, he announced plans to establish two new subway stations?Guryong Elementary School Intersection Station and Poi Intersection Station on the Wirye-Gwacheon Line?and to construct an underground road section on Yangjae-daero in Gaepo-dong.

He also promised to fulfill urban planning pledges such as developing a specialized district reflecting the opinions of Guryong Village residents.

Kim said, "Leveraging my abundant practical skills accumulated in the legislative and administrative branches and my experience working for the community as a three-term Seoul City Council member, I will take responsibility for creating the future of 'First-Class City Gangnam.'"
