[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City will provide a notification service that informs voters of waiting times on early voting days for local elections.
The city announced on the 25th that it will offer an early voting site waiting time notification service during the "8th Nationwide Simultaneous Local Elections Early Voting Days" held on the 27th and 28th of this month.
The notification service is provided to minimize congestion within voting sites. Voters can check the congestion levels of 22 early voting sites in Sejong City’s towns and townships for both in-district and out-of-district voters, the locations of nearby voting sites, parking lots near the voting sites, available public transportation routes, public bicycle stations, and shared electric bicycle locations through the location-based smart portal "SejongN".
This service is provided by collecting data in real-time, with dedicated personnel and support staff at the voting sites inputting changes in voters’ waiting times via mobile devices.
The city also provided an early voting site notification service during the "20th Presidential Election," contributing to achieving a high national voter turnout rate (77.2%).
In particular, for this election, the city introduced that the notification service can be accessed not only through the existing web service but also via a mobile app.
The mobile app can be used by searching for "SejongN" on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and installing it.
