Opening of the 2nd Branch of 'Gwangju Chulsan Mom Sharing Store'

Donation, Sharing, and Exchange of Childcare Products... Providing Various Childcare Information Too

Opening of the 2nd Branch of 'Gwangju Chulsan Mom Sharing Store'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The 'Gwangju Childbirth Mom Sharing Store,' which donates, exchanges, and shares childcare products and provides childcare information, will open its second branch on the 25th.

It has been over four years since the first branch opened.

According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 24th, the 'Gwangju Childbirth Mom Sharing Store' reduces the burden of purchasing childcare products, conducts various programs for childbirth and childcare moms, and provides childcare information.

The usage method involves donating childcare products that are no longer used due to age, exchanging them for needed items, or receiving them for free.

The first branch, which opened in May 2018 in the basement of Jinwol International Tennis Court in Nam-gu, saw an average of about 300 visitors per month last year, with approximately 4,700 donations, 3,600 exchanges, and 7,000 free sharings, showing high participation and response from citizens.

Through this, it played a significant role in creating a warm local community society.

The second branch, opening this time, will be located in Songjeong-dong, Gwangsan-gu (62 Gwangsan-ro).

Gwangju City expects the second branch to resolve inconveniences related to citizens' distance access, lead to high satisfaction in future convenience of use, and create synergy in spreading the sharing culture.

Im Younghee, head of the city's childbirth and childcare department, said, "Since children grow very fast, it is inefficient and economically burdensome for parents to realistically purchase all childbirth and childcare products new," adding, "With the opening of the second branch, donation and free sharing will spread more in the region and help create a better environment for raising children in Gwangju."
