[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Coway, a home appliance rental company, announced on the 23rd that it will launch a ‘Sleep Care Service’ that provides consulting for the optimal sleep environment.
The Coway Sleep Care Service is designed to help customers who are disturbed from deep sleep due to inappropriate sleep environments, sleep habits, and postures improve their sleep quality through professional consulting. The service is provided in addition to the ‘Coway Mattress Care Service’ offered when renting a mattress.
The service involves a Coway Homecare Doctor visiting the customer’s home to thoroughly check the sleep environment, sleep habits, and mattress condition, diagnose the sleep type, and provide sleep guides and sleep environment consulting tailored to each type. Additionally, the hardness, wear, and contamination of the mattress currently used by the customer are diagnosed, and mattress products suitable for the customer’s body type and sleep type are recommended.
The Coway Sleep Care Service is differentiated by diagnosing the customer’s sleep environment based on a professional consulting book jointly developed by Coway and Dr. Sejin Park, a senior researcher at the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science. Furthermore, the Homecare Doctors conducting the consulting have completed specialized training for sleep environment improvement, ensuring expertise. Coway encourages Homecare Doctors to obtain sleep environment manager certification, and currently, about 70% of Homecare Doctors hold this certification, with plans to gradually increase the number of certified doctors.
The service is available not only to existing Coway mattress rental customers but also to new customers. By applying for a one-time mattress care service experience on Coway’s official online store ‘Coway.com,’ customers can also receive the Sleep Care Service.
A Coway representative said, "We have been steadily loved as the first in Korea to provide mattress care services through mattress rentals," and added, "With the launch of this Sleep Care Service, we expect to significantly improve customers’ sleep quality through professional sleep consulting."
