[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Hapcheon County Council in Gyeongnam issued the "Hapcheon County Council Public Officials' Conflict of Interest Prevention System Operation Guidelines" starting from the 19th, following the enforcement of the "Public Officials' Conflict of Interest Prevention Act."
These guidelines were established in the form of Hapcheon County Council regulations based on the recommendations from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
The guidelines include various regulations that public officials must comply with when performing duties involving private stakeholders, such as the operation of conflict of interest prevention officers, setting the scope of private stakeholders, and measures related to reporting, disqualification, and recusal.
Chairman Seok Man-jin stated, "The operation guidelines are an essential institutional measure to create a clean and transparent public service culture," adding, "With the issuance of these guidelines, the institutional foundation welcoming the 9th Hapcheon County Council has been completed, and I will do my best during the remaining term to successfully conclude the 8th council and ensure a stable launch of the 9th council."
